A Personal Journey to Recovery
One of the vital addiction professionals being honored is Roxanne Feiteira, a program coordinator at Malama Family Recovery Center. Feiteira has a personal connection to the importance of addiction professionals, as she was once an addict herself. After years of struggling with substance abuse, she found hope and support through the Malama Family Recovery Center’s program, which provided her with the tools, support, and confidence she needed to stay clean and turn her life around.
Today, Feiteira is a part of the team that brings “love and light” to women and children in the community, helping to show them that they are worth it and deserve to be happy, healthy, and free from drugs and alcohol.
