Maui Behavioral Health Resources (MBHR) is offering free supportive groups and activities for women, families, and individuals in West Maui who have been affected by the recent wildfires. Read the full story in Maui Now.

Events for Wildfire Survivors in West Maui

The free events aim to provide a safe space for survivors to process their experiences, learn coping mechanisms, and find solace in community.

One of the initiatives is the West Maui Women’s Circle, designed for women aged 18 and above. Participants can learn mindfulness practices, share their stories, and find support in a nurturing environment.

Another program, Ma Ka Hana Ka ‘Ike Saturdays, offers fun activities and a sense of normalcy for affected families in Lahaina. Children are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult, and each session includes lunch.

MBHR also facilitates Ho’opono Family Practice for Healing, where practitioners teach families the restorative practice of Ho’oponopono, promoting spirituality and hope in the wake of the wildfires.

Healing Through Community

We recognize the profound impact of such a traumatic event and strives to foster resilience and healing within the Maui community. Please see the full story in Maui Now for dates, times and contact information.
