Your Generosity Can Save a Life
At Aloha House, Malama Family Recovery Center, and Maui Youth & Family Services, we meet people where they are and inspire motivation for positive change from within. Last year, nearly 8,000 Maui County residents rediscovered hope and healing through our compassionate, evidence-based treatment and services.
Your gift directly sustains our vital mission — empowering people to achieve lasting recovery and well-being and restore their ability to participate fully in life. Your donation, no matter the size, has a significant impact by providing them with the tools needed to transform themselves.
Impactful Ways to Give
Every gift has a meaningful impact on our mission of empowering recovery and well-being across Maui. We are grateful for all those who lend their support through a giving option that is right for them, allowing us to meet the diverse needs of our community members on their journeys of healing. From monthly contributions to legacy gifts, there are many ways to make a difference in the lives of those the agencies of MBHR serve.
Monthly 'Ulu Donors
Providing the nourishment that an ‘ulu (breadfruit) tree offers, ‘Ulu Donors contribute monthly gifts that help sustain our recovery services. By setting up a recurring donation, you ensure we can be there when a youth is in crisis, a pregnant or parenting woman is seeking a fresh start, or an adult wants to overcome substance use.
Annual Milo Donors ($2,500+)
Early Hawaiians prized the milo tree for its beautiful wood, which provided the raw material for crafting bowls, platters, and dishes. Like these cherished cultural artifacts, the generous support from our annual Milo Donors, who give $2,500 or more annually, is indispensable.
Annual 'Iliahi Donors ($10,000+)
‘Iliahi Donors make an annual commitment of $10,000 or more. Just as the leaves and wood of the ‘iliahi (sandalwood) were used in Hawaiian medicines, the funds provided by these donors are vital for our clients’ health and healing.
Koa Legacy Donors ($500,000+)
Koa, the wood of Hawaiian royalty, was used to make canoes, ukuleles, and surfboards. At our highest level of legacy giving, Koa Donors give gifts of $500,000 or more. These transformative gifts allow our recovery services to continue for decades.
Kamani Legacy Donors
Those who demonstrate their dedication by leaving a planned gift from their will, trust, retirement account, or other vehicle are our Kamani Legacy Donors. Like the strong timber of the kamani tree used by Hawaiians to build boat hulls and keels, gifts from legacy donors extend beyond their lifetimes, reducing taxes and ensuring our mission serves our community.
