Our friendly, knowledgeable staff will help get you started by asking a few simple questions. We will gather your name, date of birth, phone number, insurance information, and ask you for a brief summary as to why you are coming for services. This helps us to match you with the appropriate counselor, and also to give a basic understanding of why you are coming in. If you have your insurance information ready when you call, we can get you scheduled as soon as possible!
As in other doctors’ offices, you will review our office policies and privacy practices, as well as fill out our intake paperwork. You’ll meet your provider, and your session will be about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your specific needs. You and your provider will schedule a follow up appointment, if you decide to continue. Many people find that they start to feel improvement after six sessions, and research shows that therapy is very effective for many people.
