Heather Long, MS., CSAC
Program Director, MYFS Adolescent Treatment Services
Heather Long has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English. She also has a master’s degree in child and adolescent psychology. Heather has worked for Maui Youth & Family Services since 2004 as the school-based counselor at Baldwin High School. In 2024, she transitioned into the role of Program Director of Adolescent Treatment Services.
She is passionate about expanding mental health and drug treatment services to teens, especially since the Maui wildfires.
Earlier in her career, Heather worked in Long Beach, California, with young adults involved in gangs. Before moving to Maui, she worked for an innovative program that was the first in the nation to use acupuncture to treat teen drug withdrawal. Heather is also known for her love of Pugs-Pugs, Not Drugs.
